a.  Sponsors:  This program are sponsored for GETN military and federal audiences by the Department of Justice Television Network, the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS), The Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Partnership for a Drug Free America. 

b.  Availability:  This FREE, public domain, live and interactive program will be available as scheduled on the Military/Federal CDV GETN Convergent digital satellite networks and on C-Band analog satellite downlinks.  GETN/Convergent digital satellite downlinks are found at over 1200 military installations and federal office locations.  Other federal and private satellite networks may also carry this program.  In addition, the program may be available to a limited number of non-satellite capable military and federal sites via VTC terrestrial relay.  Local site use coordination of satellite downlinks will be required.

d.  Program Summary:  This free, live interactive webcast and satellite broadcast will address the state of the meth epidemic that threatens the health and safety of our nation's communities.  Viewers will learn how community policing and partnerships can be used to enhance enforcement activities as well as prevention efforts.  Special features of the program will include the following:

• The latest facts on the dangers of meth and the efforts underway across the nation to control its spread
• Examples of how both national and local level partnerships have increased the capacity to identify laboratories, create prevention programs, and protect our children
• Practical advice on starting partnerships and tips for making them work
