Program Summary: This broadcast will inform the audience of the many efforts that can be taken to reduce vulnerability to terrorist acts that also provide reduced vulnerability to natural and accidental incidents, and may provide improvements in reliability, safety, comfort, energy use, and operating cost of the building and its systems. Some of these efforts may even reduce operating expenses sufficiently to allow recovery of the associated costs within a reasonable time frame and favorably impact insurance premiums. This free program is sponsored by ASHRAE’s Building Safety and Security Special Committee with support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
